Concrete retaining walls
Poured walls and dry-stack Verti-Block systems for grade changes, embankments, and erosion control. Verti-Block stacks without mortar, so walls go up faster with less labor and less site downtime.
Engineered to the grade, not a block count
We supply and install Verti-Block, a large-format, dry-stack retaining wall block that sets without mortar — and we still pour conventional retaining walls where the site calls for it. Our engineering group specs each wall to the load and grade condition it’s holding back, not a generic block count.
For grade changes, embankments, drainage channels, and erosion control, Verti-Block goes up substantially faster than a poured or mortared wall, with less labor and less time the site is tied up. Walls are load-bearing, and the finished face is uniform enough to leave exposed without additional facing — useful on sites where the wall itself is part of what a client or inspector sees.
We build for new residential builds, additions, and commercial structures across Fort Smith, the River Valley, and Northwest Arkansas. If you’re a contractor or engineer sizing a wall for a bid, we can provide spec sheets and technical data directly at: gcastinc.com/resources
Grading or drainage on the same site?
Retaining wall projects almost always involve grading and often drainage work on the same site. See Exterior Work and Drainage — we can scope the wall and the site work together in one visit.
